Food – Fed up of bad coffee? No problem!
There are coffee experts in the area who conjure up creative and extraordinary coffee specialties with love and passion!
BILD visited three cafés in the area that even roast their own coffee - true to their motto: “Life is too short to drink bad coffee!” Life is too short to drink bad coffee!
How to make perfect coffee
“Coffee Pirates” owner Patrick Schiller explains how it works:
►15g freshly ground coffee per cup
►Moisten the filter paper in the hand filter with water
►Boil water and let it cool for one minute (to about 91 degrees)
►Pour water in a circular motion from the outside to the inside over the ground coffee
►Find out about water quality in your city - filter water beforehand if necessary
►AND: Of course, use good coffee.
Owner Patrick Schiller (37) starts up his “Wilma” roasting machine three times a week in his shop at Rüttenscheider Straße 218.
Whether for sale or serving, Patrick buys his coffee from the importer, who sources it directly from the coffee farmers.
If you like, you can try one (or more) of the eight different, homemade varieties of “Kalte Schnauze” cakes with your coffee.
