Fazenda Dutra is a family-run farm in São João do Manhuaçu, 300 km inland from the east coast of Brazil, managed by two brothers, Ednilson and Walter. The two brothers were born on the farm and have been coffee producers all their lives - her father founded the farm in the 1950s with one hectare of land, gradually buying a second and third hectare from the profits the farm generated until he had expanded his land to over 1100 hectares. In September 1999, Jose died, leaving the Farm to his sons Walter and Ednilson, who take their responsibility to their family and their father's legacy very seriously.
